Cogwhistle Crossing
High scoresAll gamesHow to play
Hop the morning deliveries from the quay to the dock, and cross on the slow beat.
More rules
Hop one square per press with the arrows or WASD. On touch, swipe the way you want to go, or tap beside your Glimling (above it to hop forward), or use the arrow pads. Carts, trams and rolling cogs knock you over; the harbour needs a ferry, a barrel or a paddle-boat under your feet, and the gear belt drags you sideways. The town's mainspring gauge (top left) winds up and every lane speeds up with it, then it unwinds and everything crawls: that green slow beat is your moment. Pick up a winding key and press Space (or tap the gauge, or the Key pad) to unwind it on the spot. Fresh rows in a quick run build a multiplier, and a fast delivery earns a tip. Every two deliveries is a new stage; every fourth brings the Harbour Crane, whose hook sweeps the lane you are on. Bring the spanner to the dock while the spring is slack to jam it, three times. The clock tower won't wait: the bar under the parcel is your delivery time, and it runs shorter as the stages go by. Amber notches at a lane's edge mean something is about to roll in. Three bumps, splashes or late deliveries and it's over.
A paid run pays by medal: bronze 65 Glimmers, silver 140 Glimmers, gold 250 Glimmers, with a small token (up to 20 Glimmers) for no medal and 40 Glimmers extra for a new personal best. It costs your Glimling 1 energy.
